We’ve all seen the classic American movies with the shoulder pads and the helmets, but did you know you can actually play American football in Brisbane?

The league consists of nine teams, from as north as the Sunshine Coast and as south as the Gold Coast.

Tomasz Pacyna, former-player-turned-coach of the Brisbane Rhinos, has played Gridiron for on and off since he was a teenager.

We spoke with him about some of the common misconceptions about Gridiron and why he loves the sport.
