Best of the Brunch | Five Graceville Cafés Sure to Delight

Author // Georgina Auton, Place Graceville

The leafy suburb of Graceville is a hub of activity, with locals chatting on the street or waving from their cars at families they know as they sip on a morning coffee at one of the many cafes to choose from.

That’s on weekdays.

Believe it or not, this vibrant community actually gets busier at a specific time of day on the weekend.

Brunch.

It’s that time of day, between brekky and lunch, that long been a trend for Brisbanites to catch up with friends over the yummiest mid-morning meals.

Graceville happens to boast a number buzzing brunch spots just waiting to be discovered.

We’ve had a look around and come up with our top five brunch spots in Graceville.

Three Girls Skipping

This café is the epitome of cute.

Located in the heart of Graceville, their cabinets are always laden with delicious-looking cakes.

Their menu is also packed full of delicious and naughty treats. Think cinnamon waffles with toffee apple and ice-cream and French toast with caramelised bananas.

They also cater to the more savoury crowd with potato rosti topped with poached eggs and smoked salmon.

The rest of their menu is just as unique and there’s seating outside or inside to just watch the world go by. Drooling yet?

Forget Me Not

Forget Me Not Cafe

Next up, we have Forget Me Not Café.

This quiet spot is just around the corner from Three Girls Skipping and we have to say that we’re a major fan of their acai bowls.

Topped with berries and granola, we’ve heard rumours that these are the best in Brisbane. Are they? You’ll have to try them for yourself!

They also make some fantastic homemade scones which are just perfect when they’re right out of the oven. Comfort food? Yes please!

These guys are taking things to the next level.

Not only do they have FOUR kinds of normal coffee, but they also have some amazing drink options like red velvet lattes, turmeric lattes and matcha lattes.

And did we mention the homemade juices?

Not only that but this busy little café has a pastry chef who makes all of the cakes that you’ll see in the cabinets. Guaranteed to be fresh and delicious, this café is definitely one to add to the list!

Fraiché Deli are serving up the classics. Think smashed avo, pancakes with coulis and ice-cream and much more.

These guys also regularly run exciting specials like breakfast panna cotta and rostis with eggs and carrot puree.

It’s always exciting to see what specials are on at a café when you visit, and we can guarantee that anything you order off Fraiché’s is going to be delicious!

Café 63

This old classic is always perfect for a fast, filling and delicious feed. Café 63 in Graceville has a huge menu and an even bigger drinks list.

We’re obsessed with their classics, in particular their $3.50 bacon and egg rolls if you need to grab breakfast in a hurry.

They often combine interesting flavours (think onion rings with poached eggs) to create dishes that you couldn’t have imagined.
