[VIDEO] Fortitude Valley | Just When You Thought Coffee couldn’t Get Any Better…

This is not a drill… the James street superfood express café, Pineapple Express, has just outdone themselves with the (potentially revolutionary) ‘coffee cone’.

Taking a crispy waffle cone, lined with chocolate and filling it with coffee, this is the perfect winter treat.

Manager of the James Street café, Henry Biggins, says, “We’re seriously excited to be introducing the ‘coffee cone’ to James street and Brisbane,”

“You’ve got a strong coffee with creamy hints of chocolate in a cup you can eat when you’re done. Who wouldn’t love that?” he laughs.

We sat down with one of the owners of Pineapple Express, Leigh Metzeling, and asked what all the fuss was about.

(For the record, we gave the coffee cone a 10/10)

Where did Pineapple Express come from?

The company originated two years ago.

The other partners and myself were searching for health-food options that tasted great and couldn’t find many options.

When we discovered a need in the market we decided to create our own health-food café.

The philosophy behind Pineapple Express is everything that’s good for your insides – we have gluten free, vegan, lactose free and nut free options.

So we make sure to cater for everyone’s tastes and dietary requirements.

On top of Brisbane’s first ever ‘coffee cones’ we have a brand new menu.

Of course we’re keeping the old menu favourites, but this time we’re adding even more yummy options.

We have just launched our share platter for breakfast and also our pancake platters consisting of banana protein pancakes, coconut yogurt and season fruits.

We also have an organic pulled pork nachos with an awesome guacamole blended with spirulina.

We’ve taken foodie favourites and given them a health twist so they’re not only delicious but also nutritious.
