For some of us, a bicycle is simply a nice way to get from point A to point B.

For Scott Baum, a bicycle is a way to find a cure for cancer.

At the end of August, Scott will join a team of 50 others cycling from Townsville to Brisbane to raise much-needed funds for the Mater Foundation, in the hope of finding a cure for cancer.

We spoke with Scott about his passion for cycling and his determination to help in the battle against cancer - a cause close to his heart.
