The glorious red brick structure on the hill is pretty hard to miss, but have you ever been inside?

This Sunday is your opportunity, as St Brigid’s opens it’s doors to the public for Brisbane Open House.

It was finished in August 1914, just before WWI had begun, for an incredibly poor parish of Catholics.

The architect, Robin Dods, kept the structure very modest in colour and design, but made up for it in height.

We spoke with local architect David Turnbull about the well-known structure.
