Whether it be a romantic dinner for two, a quite drink or a celebratory dinner, Factory 51 is the go-to place for the people in the 4151.

Being one of the first-of-its-kind to open in Coorparoo, it has most certainly become ‘the local.’

Owner, Beau Vedelago, found the space when it was an old, run-down factory and brought it back to life, giving it a new purpose.

Beau’s grandmother's love for food rubbed off on him during his childhood, so a career in hospitality felt like destiny.

Having spent years in the restaurant and bar industry, Beau knew what he was in for when opening the doors of Factory 51.

He envisaged it as ‘the hangout place’ for the locals in the community.

What Beau enjoys about running the business is he can get to know his local community through the love of food and entertaining.

We sat down with him to hear his story and find out more about where the idea to open Factory 51 came from.
