How often do you ask yourself, “What’s my dream job?”

If you like the idea of being able to stay home with your fur baby all day, then maybe you should consider something like pet sitting.

For local animal enthusiast, Kristen Collie, her dream came true when she started Whisker Watchers.

“I became a pet sitter 12 years ago when I stumbled across a job ad to join a pet sitting team. At first, it was more of a hobby while I worked, than my actual job,” she says.

Kristen says she found pet sitting a great stress reliever, after experiencing a devastating loss.

“In 2015, I gave birth to my son Eden who sadly only lived 12 hours due to a major heart condition.

It was while I was on bereavement leave that I decided to open up my home for dogs to stay.”

We caught up with Kristen to find out some of her top benefits of being a pet sitter.
