Jay Taylor owns Taylor Cycles in Chapel Hill.

An avid cyclist himself, Jay regularly frequents popular spots around Brisbane.

But Jay has also had an amazing career as both a professional mountain biker and road cyclist, even competing for Australia!

“There’s actually not too much of a difference between road cycling and mountain biking,” Jay says.

“They’re both cycling, but I guess the mountain biking stuff is just a lot more extreme!”

“There’s a pretty big crossover”

Jay says the cycling community in Brisbane is getting bigger and bigger, particularly road cycling.

He says there are more people riding and racing compared to when he started and the bikeway infrastructure is always improving for cyclists.
