Chris Papadopoulos was born in Athens but moved to Australia when he was two and a half.

Fast forward a few years, Chris he learnt to cook and wait tables from the age of 14 while working in his parent’s Greek restaurant in West End - Kafe Meze South Brisbane.

In May last year though, Graceville got its very own Kafe Meze for locals to salivate over.

Chris says he developed a love of Greek food from his dad, who is also from Athens.

He suggests haloumi as the place to start if you’ve never tried Greek food, but also recommends Greek salads as they’re always amazing and packed with flavour.

We chatted to Chris about his heritage and Kafe Meze Graceville.
