Corinda couple Trevor and Kristen Ottaway have always aimed to raise their family in a healthy way.

They’d spend their weekends trawling farmers markets searching for the freshest, healthiest local produce to feed their children.

When they made a connection with a local farmer, they decided the time was right to begin their own business selling customised boxes of fresh produce to the people of Brisbane.

While there were lots of “box” companies out there, Kristen said they couldn’t find one that fitted their needs. So instead, they made their own!

That company is Spray-Free Farmacy.

What started out as the couple delivering five boxes per week turned into a business that now has over 200 boxes going out weekly.

Their produce is sourced as locally as possible, with all of it grown or produced in Australia.

What’s important to know is that it’s pesticide and “spray-free”, hence the name of the business!

These locals are clearly passionate about what they do and we chatted with them about the importance of eating healthily and buying local.
