By Shannon Edwards // Place New Farm
On the corner of Chester and Ella streets, Nodo’s bright open space with stone floors, timber furniture and loads of greenery, plus a seriously yummy menu, is a foodies dream.
Walking into the café you’re greeted with a warm ‘hello’ and invited to sit at one of the long communal benches where you can chat with the staff about the food, coffee or even how your day's going!
What’s even more special about this friendly, welcoming café is its menu - completely guilt free and delicious.
Nodo owner, Kate Williams set her mission to provide gluten free food that’s seriously yummy… and if you’ve tried anything on the menu, you’ll agree that she has succeeded!
How did Nodo begin?
I’ve always had a love for food and healthy eating.
I have a background in marketing, but when I was studying I always worked in hospitality and loved it.
As a young girl I was always drinking about the day I would run my own café – what it would be and how it would look.
When I diagnosed a celiac and noticed that there was a lack of options when dining out so I saw a real need for yummy, gluten free food.
I wanted to make sure we had something to offer everyone and bring the fun back to healthy eating and gluten free food.
Using really wholesome ingredients and yummy recipes we have a great menu here that can be enjoyed by everyone.
When we opened the café side of the business it was also really important for us to source our products ethically so all of our eggs and meat are free range and organic.
