Since buying the bakery 10 years ago, Sal Gerbino relocated his extended family of pastry chefs to Brisbane from Sicily to bring you the most delicious Italian desserts this side of the Mediterranean.

There’s authentic cakes covered in Nutella, pistachios and almonds, sweets drowned in liqueur and dipped in sugar, and of course cannolis filled with a smooth custard cream.

We spoke to Davide Gerbino, one of the head chefs, about his family’s love affair with Italian pastries and desserts.
