There is nothing better than walking into a candle scented, warmly lit store while being greeted by friendly faces. This is exactly how you feel when you enter Vanilla House.

Your eyes are instantly drawn to all the beautiful displays. However, this boutique homewares store is more than just gorgeous treasures from the outside.

Ruth Raison, the owner showed us around the store and pointed out some of her favourite pieces. She mentioned that Vanilla House was her dream and how in 8 weeks it became her reality.

Ruth’s vision was to turn the store into something more than just a shopping destination, but a place where the locals can gather and feel a strong sense of community.

Vanilla House is exactly that and we were lucky enough to chat with Ruth about how she has achieved this vision and why it was so important to her.
