If you’re like us, you might choose shoes when you’re going out that aren’t the most comfortable… but boy, are they cute!

According to podiatrist Josh Condon from Podiatry Hub at Graceville, heels can be absolutely terrible for your feet.

(Look, we probably knew that but didn’t want to admit it!)

Never fear! Josh says there are plenty of ways you can aid your feet so you can dance the night away this new year’s eve.

Some tips:

  1. Try to avoid thin heels, instead opting for chunky ones or wedges.

  2. You can add tape to sore areas and party feet (gel insoles) to make uncomfortable shoes better.

  3. Consider your night - will you be walking long distances? Will there be seating? Are you going to be on grass or a boat? Opt for a pair of shoes that suits what you’ll be doing.

  4. If possible, wear flatter (but not ballet flats) shoes as they’re better for your feet.
